In the era of social media, we have more pressure than ever to look and feel good. From diet to exercise, we have plenty of options to ensure our body is bikini-ready. However, no matter how disciplined we are, we still face stubborn fat deposits that just won’t go away naturally. Nowadays, we are faced with so many options when it comes to plastic surgery, it’s increasingly becoming more socially acceptable to get under the knife. However, there are no surgical procedures that come without risk. Besides the risk, the recovery process is complicated and requires you to stop your daily routine for a couple of weeks. As a result, non-invasive cosmetic procedures are becoming increasingly popular.
Freezing
From fillers to body contouring procedures, celebrities and regular people alike are taking advantage of modern procedures to look Instagram-perfect. You’ve probably heard of fat freezing. Fat freezing has a slew of celebrity followers thanks to its simplicity and ability to reduce the size of fat cells considerably without surgery. This technology isn’t new. Fat freezing was previously known as cryolipolysis. Doctors originally discovered it when they noticed children who ate many ice pops presented fat degradation in their cheeks.

What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a fat-freezing technique that helps to remove persistent fat in specific areas of the body. It was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration in 2010. The temperature at which fat freezes is greater than the temperature at which skin freezes. The machine cools your fat to the point that it is destroyed, leaving your skin and other tissues unscathed.

Cryolipolysis is not a surgical procedure and does not require the use of needles. Between two paddles, the gadget carries the part of the body that the doctor needs to target. The paddles cool fast, but the doctor can keep them in for half an hour. The procedure kills roughly 20% to 25% of the targeted region’s fat cells during that time.

The final results can take a few months to appear, but you can see improvements within a few weeks. Over time, the immune system gradually gets rid of the dead fat cells.

This isn’t a weight-loss procedure.

Since fat does not weigh as much as muscle, fat freezing would not result in significant weight loss. Losing inches is a considerable accomplishment, even though it doesn’t show up on the scale. However, you can always keep track of your weight and eat a balanced diet while exercising regularly. CoolSculpting is for those who want to make minor changes since it isn’t intended to be a one-stop shop for serious fat loss like liposuction.
